- 1 box Angel food cake or 1 prepared Angel Food Cake
- 1 package (3.4 ounces) instant vanilla pudding
- 1 1/2 cups milk (whole or dairy-free alternative)
- 1 cup sour cream
Instructions
- Start with the angel food cake: Either prepare it according to package instructions or use one that’s already baked. Let it cool completely on a wire rack.
- Whisk the pudding: In a mixing bowl, combine the instant vanilla pudding and milk. Whisk until smooth and free of lumps.
- Incorporate the sour cream: Gently fold it in, mixing until completely combined.
- Slice the cake: Cut the angel food cake in half horizontally.
- Layer the pudding mixture: Spread half of the pudding mixture evenly over the bottom half of the cake.
- Reassemble the cake: Place the top half back on.
- Finish it off: Spread the remaining pudding mixture evenly over the top. Decorate if desired.
- Chill and serve: Allow the cake to chill for at least 1 hour before serving.
Notes
