Description

A light and airy dessert featuring angel food cake, creamy vanilla pudding, and tangy sour cream for a refreshing end to any meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box Angel food cake or 1 prepared Angel Food Cake
  • 1 package (3.4 ounces) instant vanilla pudding
  • 1 1/2 cups milk (whole or dairy-free alternative)
  • 1 cup sour cream

Instructions

  1. Start with the angel food cake: Either prepare it according to package instructions or use one that’s already baked. Let it cool completely on a wire rack.
  2. Whisk the pudding: In a mixing bowl, combine the instant vanilla pudding and milk. Whisk until smooth and free of lumps.
  3. Incorporate the sour cream: Gently fold it in, mixing until completely combined.
  4. Slice the cake: Cut the angel food cake in half horizontally.
  5. Layer the pudding mixture: Spread half of the pudding mixture evenly over the bottom half of the cake.
  6. Reassemble the cake: Place the top half back on.
  7. Finish it off: Spread the remaining pudding mixture evenly over the top. Decorate if desired.
  8. Chill and serve: Allow the cake to chill for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

Can be prepared a day in advance. Customize with fresh fruits or chocolate sauce.
