Description

A creamy, cheesy dish featuring tender chicken, vibrant broccoli, and fluffy orzo pasta, perfect for cozy evenings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups orzo pasta
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast (diced)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the diced chicken, seasoning with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Stir in the orzo and chicken broth, bringing to a rolling boil.
  4. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 10 minutes until the orzo is tender.
  5. Add the broccoli florets, cover again, and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in the shredded cheese until melted and creamy.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

This dish can be made ahead without the cheese and reheated when ready to serve. Feel free to customize with additional vegetables.
