Description

Deliciously fudgy chocolate cookies with a soft center and a crackly powdered sugar exterior, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl.
  3. Whisk together the granulated sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  5. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Roll the dough into balls and coat with powdered sugar.
  7. Place the cookie balls on a lined baking sheet, spaced apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until slightly cracked on the surface.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Experiment with adding chocolate chips or nuts. For a gluten-free option, use a gluten-free all-purpose flour blend.
