Description

Deliciously crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside, these potato puffs are a comforting snack or appetizer perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Combine mashed potatoes, shredded cheese, flour, milk, melted butter, and eggs in a mixing bowl. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat oil in a deep pan or fryer over medium heat until shimmering.
  3. Scoop small portions of the potato mixture and shape into balls.
  4. Carefully place balls in hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 3–4 minutes.
  5. Remove puffs with a slotted spoon and drain excess oil on paper towels.
  6. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

You can prepare the potato mixture a day in advance. For a lighter option, these puffs can be baked at 400°F (200°C) for about 20–25 minutes.
