Description

A delicious twist on the classic grilled cheese sandwich, featuring savory roast beef and melted cheese, served with a flavorful dipping sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 slices of sourdough bread
  • 8 ounces of thinly sliced roast beef
  • 4 slices of provolone cheese
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 cup of beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 clove of garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Heat over medium heat until warm.
  2. Butter one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
  3. On the unbuttered side of two slices, layer the roast beef and provolone cheese.
  4. Top with the other two slices of bread, buttered side up.
  5. Heat a skillet over medium heat and grill the sandwiches until golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  6. Remove from skillet and cut in half. Serve with the warm dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add sautéed onions or peppers to the sandwich.
  • Use a different type of cheese, like Swiss or cheddar, for a unique taste.
  • Make sure to keep the dipping sauce warm while serving.
