Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sliced onions and sauté until deep golden brown, about 15-20 minutes.
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet, browning each side for 4-5 minutes.
- Combine the cooked rice, caramelized onions, and heavy cream in a large mixing bowl.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish, spreading it evenly. Nestle the browned chicken on top.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the chicken.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the chicken is cooked and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve warm, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
