Description

A vibrant dish featuring grilled chicken marinated with pineapple, soy sauce, and ginger, bringing the tropical flavors of Hawaii to your table.


Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs or breasts
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons grated fresh ginger
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine pineapple juice, soy sauce, ginger, brown sugar, vegetable oil, and black pepper in a mixing bowl and whisk until smooth.
  2. Place chicken in a resealable bag, pour marinade over, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Discard marinade and grill chicken for 6-8 minutes per side until fully cooked, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F.
  5. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

For best flavor, marinate overnight. You can also use an oven at 400°F for 25-30 minutes if you don’t have a grill. Customize with spices like red pepper flakes for extra heat.
