Description

A creamy and indulgent lasagna layered with spiced sausage, cheese-filled ravioli, and a rich Alfredo sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb spicy Italian sausage (ground or casings removed)
  • 2 (10 oz) bags prepared cheese-filled ravioli
  • 8 garlic cloves, minced
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cups heavy cream
  • ¾ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½2 tsp red pepper flakes (to taste)
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning (for topping)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
  • Nonstick spray (for the pan)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly spray a 2-quart casserole dish with nonstick spray.
  2. Cook the sausage in a large skillet over medium heat until fully cooked and crumbled.
  3. Make the Alfredo sauce in the same skillet by sautéing butter and garlic, then add heavy cream.
  4. Add parmesan cheese to the sauce and stir until smooth.
  5. Cook the ravioli according to package instructions and set aside.
  6. Assemble the lasagna by layering Alfredo sauce, ravioli, sausage, and mozzarella cheese in the casserole dish.
  7. Top with Italian seasoning and cover with foil. Bake for 30 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes.
  8. Rest for 10-15 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a make-ahead option, prepare the Alfredo sauce and assemble the lasagna a few hours before baking.
