- 4 cups apples, peeled and sliced (Granny Smith and Honeycrisp)
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Toss the sliced apples with lemon juice and place into a greased baking dish.
- Whisk together brown sugar, flour, oats, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl.
- Pour in the melted butter and stir until you have a crumbly mixture.
- Spread the crumble mixture evenly over the apples.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, until the apples are tender and the topping is golden brown.
- Serve warm and enjoy with vanilla ice cream.
Notes
You can prepare the filling and topping a day in advance. Allows for customization with nuts or different spices.
