- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup apple pie filling
- Vegetable oil for frying
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar for coating
Instructions
- Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a mixing bowl.
- Whisk together the milk, eggs, and melted butter in another bowl until fully incorporated.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, mixing gently until just combined.
- Fill a piping bag with the apple pie filling.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Pipe small rings of batter into the hot oil, frying until golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes.
- Remove them from the oil using a slotted spoon, draining on paper towels.
- Roll the warm doughnuts in powdered sugar and serve warm.
