Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
- Combine the melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and buttermilk in a separate bowl, mixing until creamy.
- Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Fold in the diced apples gently with a spatula.
- Spread the batter evenly into the prepared cake pan.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
