Description

A delightful sandwich featuring creamy burrata, ripe tomatoes, and savory prosciutto, drizzled with olive oil and balsamic glaze, perfect for picnics or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Fresh burrata cheese
  • 2 ripe tomatoes (sliced)
  • 4 oz prosciutto (thinly sliced)
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp balsamic glaze
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 ciabatta or baguette

Instructions

  1. Start by cutting the bread in half. If you desire added warmth and crispness, lightly toast it.
  2. Take the bottom half of the bread and layer it generously with sliced tomatoes and prosciutto.
  3. Tear the burrata apart gently, placing it atop the tomatoes and prosciutto.
  4. Scatter fresh basil leaves across the top.
  5. Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic glaze, then season with salt and pepper.
  6. Place the other half of the bread on top to complete the sandwich.
  7. Use a sharp knife to slice your sandwich in half and serve immediately.

Notes

For best flavor, use the ripest tomatoes and consider toasting the bread for added crunch.
