Description

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup caramel bits or chopped caramel candy
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Beat together the softened cream cheese and butter until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add the brown sugar, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract; mix until well combined.
  4. Beat in the egg until evenly blended.
  5. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually add to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the caramel bits and chocolate chips (if using).
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between them.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden but the centers remain soft.
  9. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
