Description

A heartwarming assembly of flavors and textures with ground beef, pasta, and melted cheddar cheese, reminiscent of a classic cheeseburger.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 cups cooked pasta (elbow macaroni or similar)
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 15 oz tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons mustard
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the ground beef with the chopped onion and minced garlic in a large skillet over medium heat until browned and fragrant; drain excess fat.
  3. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and mix well.
  4. Pour in the beef broth, followed by the tomato sauce, mustard, and ketchup; season with salt and pepper.
  5. Transfer everything into a greased baking dish and spread it out.
  6. Top generously with shredded cheddar cheese.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. Let it cool for about 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

For make-ahead tips, assemble the casserole a day in advance and refrigerate. You can also use an air fryer for a crispy finish if short on time.
