- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 cups cooked pasta (elbow macaroni or similar)
- 1 cup beef broth
- 15 oz tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoons mustard
- ¼ cup ketchup
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the ground beef with the chopped onion and minced garlic in a large skillet over medium heat until browned and fragrant; drain excess fat.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and mix well.
- Pour in the beef broth, followed by the tomato sauce, mustard, and ketchup; season with salt and pepper.
- Transfer everything into a greased baking dish and spread it out.
- Top generously with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
For make-ahead tips, assemble the casserole a day in advance and refrigerate. You can also use an air fryer for a crispy finish if short on time.
