Description

A warm, cheesy casserole with tender chicken and orzo pasta, creating a creamy, comforting dish perfect for family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, diced
  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Sauté the chicken with olive oil in a large skillet for 5-7 minutes until golden.
  3. Season the chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Cook orzo with chicken broth in the skillet for 8-10 minutes until al dente.
  5. Cream the mixture by adding heavy cream and half of the cheese.
  6. Prepare a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and pour the mixture in, topping with remaining cheese.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until cheese is melted and golden.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes
