Instructions
- Preheat your oven: Set it to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
- Mix dry ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until evenly incorporated.
- Combine wet ingredients: In another bowl, mix together the melted butter, milk, egg, and vanilla extract. Whisk until well-blended.
- Combine wet and dry: Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir gently with a spatula until just combined.
- Fold in cherries: Gently incorporate the cherry pieces into the batter.
- Fill muffin cups: Spoon the muffin batter evenly into the prepared muffin cups, filling each about two-thirds full.
