Description
A vibrant and flavorful salsa combining sweet pineapple with smoky chipotle peppers, perfect for tacos, grilled meats, and as a dip.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup pineapple, diced
- 1/2 cup red onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup red bell pepper, diced
- 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
- 1–2 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, minced
- Juice of 1 lime
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Start by preparing your ingredients. Dice the pineapple into bite-sized cubes, chop the red onion and red bell pepper, and finely mince the chipotle peppers.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the diced pineapple, chopped red onion, diced red bell pepper, and cilantro.
- In a separate small bowl, mix together the minced chipotle peppers and lime juice.
- Pour the chipotle-lime mixture over the pineapple blend and gently stir until well combined.
- Season your salsa with salt to taste, starting with a pinch and adjusting as needed.
- Let the salsa sit for about 30 minutes at room temperature to allow the flavors to meld.
- Serve this vibrant salsa with tacos, grilled chicken, seafood, or tortilla chips.
Notes
Allowing the salsa to rest enhances the flavors. It’s even better when made a day in advance.
