Description

A comforting dish of frozen ravioli layered with marinara, ricotta, mozzarella, and Parmesan, cooked to perfection in a crockpot.


Ingredients

  • 1 package of frozen ravioli (cheese, meat, or spinach-filled)
  • 1 pound ground beef or Italian sausage
  • 1 jar of marinara sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef or Italian sausage in a large skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  2. Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of the crockpot.
  3. Layer half of the frozen ravioli over the sauce.
  4. Spoon half of the ricotta cheese over the ravioli.
  5. Sprinkle with half of the shredded mozzarella and half of the grated Parmesan cheese.
  6. Repeat the layering process: another layer of marinara sauce, more ravioli, ricotta, and finish with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan.
  7. Top with the remaining marinara sauce and season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  8. Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours, until heated through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Notes

Make-ahead tips: Assemble layers the night before. Can also be baked in an oven-safe dish at 350°F for 30-40 minutes.
