- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 packet active dry yeast (about 2 1/4 teaspoons)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
Instructions
- Heat the milk and butter in a small saucepan until warm.
- Combine the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt in a large bowl.
- Pour the warm milk mixture into the dry ingredients along with the eggs.
- Stir the mixture with a wooden spoon until a shaggy dough forms.
- Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm spot until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
- Punch down the dough and roll into balls, then arrange in a greased baking dish.
- Allow the rolls to rise again, covered, until puffy (30-45 minutes).
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Brush the warm rolls with melted butter before serving, if desired.

Make-ahead tips: Prepare the dough and refrigerate after the first rise. Let it come to room temperature before rolling.
