Description

Indulge in delightful Double Chocolate Salted Caramel Cookies featuring a crisp exterior and a gooey, molten center brimming with rich chocolate and salted caramel.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chunks
  • 1 cup salted caramel sauce
  • Sea salt for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each one is fully incorporated before adding the next.
  4. Add the vanilla extract.
  5. Mix together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chunks.
  8. Scoop a tablespoon of dough and press a small amount of salted caramel sauce into the center, then cover it with more dough.
  9. Place the cookies on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  10. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are set but the center is still soft.
  11. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with sea salt before they cool.
  12. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For added flavor, prepare the dough a day in advance and refrigerate before baking. Feel free to customize with nuts or different chocolates.
