- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2–3 tbsp milk
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Heat-Treat the flour: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread all-purpose flour evenly on a baking sheet and bake for 5-7 minutes. Allow it to cool completely.
- Cream the butter and sugars: In a large bowl, combine softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Use an electric mixer to blend until smooth and creamy.
- Add vanilla and salt: Pour in the vanilla extract and sprinkle in the salt. Mix well to enhance the flavors.
- Incorporate the flour: Gradually add the cooled flour to the butter-sugar mixture and stir until fully combined.
- Adjust consistency: If the dough is dry, add milk one tablespoon at a time until the perfect creamy consistency is reached.
- Fold in chocolate chips if using, ensuring an even distribution.
- Serve and enjoy directly, or store in an airtight container in the fridge.
Notes
This cookie dough can also be used as a base for baking cookies if desired. It’s perfect for dipping fruits or pretzel sticks.
