Description

Delightful cookies bursting with colorful candies in a buttery, sweet dough, perfect for any celebration.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup red, white, and blue candies

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the brown sugar and softened butter until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until fully combined.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir gently until just combined.
  6. Fold in the colorful candies using a spatula.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
  9. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
