Description

Soft, melt-in-your-mouth cookies that capture the rich, comforting flavor of sticky gooey butter cake.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter and cream cheese in a large bowl using an electric mixer until smooth.
  3. Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract and salt.
  5. Whisk together the flour and baking powder in another bowl.
  6. Add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  7. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the edges are lightly golden.
  9. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack. Dust with powdered sugar while warm.
