- 4 medium potatoes, sliced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional vegetables: bell peppers, corn, or spinach
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the ground beef and onion in a skillet over medium heat until browned; drain excess fat.
- Combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a greased baking dish.
- Top with half of the ground beef mixture and half of the cheese; repeat layering.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
