Description

A comforting casserole layered with ground beef, potatoes, cheese, and a creamy sauce, perfect for family dinners or gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 medium potatoes, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional vegetables: bell peppers, corn, or spinach

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the ground beef and onion in a skillet over medium heat until browned; drain excess fat.
  3. Combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl.
  4. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a greased baking dish.
  5. Top with half of the ground beef mixture and half of the cheese; repeat layering.
  6. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  7. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
