- 1 cup brown sugar

- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Mix together the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well until fully combined.
- Combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Spread the brownie batter evenly in the prepared baking pan.
- Cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar for the cookie layer in a separate bowl.
- Beat in the eggs and vanilla until fluffy.
- Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture.
- Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough over the brownie layer.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden-brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool, then cut into bars.
Notes
For a lighter option, consider using coconut oil instead of butter, or swap out half of the all-purpose flour with whole wheat flour.
