Description

Craft your own delicious homemade pizza with a crispy crust, gooey cheese, and endless topping possibilities!


Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 3/4 cup warm water (around 110°F)
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Pizza sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • Cheese (mozzarella, parmesan, etc.)
  • Toppings (pepperoni, bell peppers, olives, etc.)

Instructions

  1. Combine the warm water, sugar, and yeast in a bowl. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until bubbly.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Stir lightly to mix evenly.
  3. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil to the flour. Mix until a dough forms. Knead on a lightly floured surface for about 7-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.
  5. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
  6. Once risen, roll out your dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  7. Transfer the rolled dough to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Spread a generous layer of pizza sauce across the base, followed by a sprinkle of cheese.
  9. Add your chosen toppings.
  10. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese bubbles.
  11. Slice into pieces and serve hot!

Notes

Make your dough in advance and let it rise overnight in the refrigerator for more flavor. Avoid overloading toppings to maintain a crispy crust.
