Description

Deliciously crunchy bites filled with spicy jalapeños, creamy cheese, and savory sausages, all wrapped in flaky dough, perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 1 package Little Sausages (cocktail or mini hot dogs)
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese, softened
  • 23 Jalapeños, halved and seeds removed
  • 1 package Puff Pastry or Crescent Roll Dough
  • 2 tbsp Butter, melted
  • Optional: Shredded Cheese for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven according to the dough package instructions.
  2. Prepare the jalapeños by slicing them in half lengthwise and removing seeds and membranes.
  3. Cut the dough into strips that are roughly the width of the sausages.
  4. Assemble by placing a little sausage, a slice of jalapeño, and a dollop of cream cheese on each strip.
  5. Wrap the dough tightly around the sausage, placing them seam side down on a lined baking sheet.
  6. Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle with shredded cheese if desired.
  7. Bake according to the dough package instructions or until golden brown and puffed.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Make-ahead tip: Assemble and refrigerate the poppers until ready to bake. They can also be frozen for up to a month.
