Description

Warm, flaky crescent rolls filled with creamy lemon-infused cream cheese, creating a delightful balance of sweet and tart flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can of crescent roll dough
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, lemon juice, and zest in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  3. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangle shapes.
  4. Add a generous spoonful of the cream cheese mixture at the wide end of each triangle.
  5. Roll each triangle from the wide end to the tip, sealing the edges well.
  6. Arrange the rolled crescents on a parchment-lined baking sheet, giving them space to puff up.
  7. Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a glossy finish.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Cool slightly and sprinkle with additional lemon zest before serving.

Notes

Implement make-ahead tips by preparing the cream cheese filling in advance. For variations, consider using different citrus or adding mini chocolate chips.
