Description

A delightful dish featuring tender flank steak and vibrant broccoli, cooked in a savory-sweet sauce that brings bold flavors to your table.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. Combine soy sauce, brown sugar, and cornstarch in a mixing bowl, whisking until blended. Set aside.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced beef in a single layer and sear until browned, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add the minced garlic and ginger to the skillet and sauté for about one minute until fragrant.
  4. Toss in the broccoli florets, stirring to combine. Cook for another 3 minutes until the broccoli is bright green and tender-crisp.
  5. Pour the reserved sauce over the beef and broccoli and stir until the sauce thickens and coats the ingredients, around 5 minutes.
  6. Garnish with the chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

Prep ingredients ahead of time. Marinate the beef for deeper flavor. Consider adding bell peppers or snap peas for customization.
