Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ribeye steaks
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Season the ribeye steaks generously with salt and pepper, letting them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Add the steaks to the skillet and sear for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
- Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest to allow juices to redistribute.
- Reduce the heat to medium and add butter to the same skillet, allowing it to melt and scrape up browned bits.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream and add Dijon mustard; stir and let it simmer until slightly thickened.
- Return the steaks to the skillet, coating them in the sauce, and warm them through.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
You can prepare the creamy garlic sauce in advance and store it in the refrigerator for up to three days. Additionally, consider using an air fryer or oven for cooking steak for different textures.
