Description

Delicious meatballs filled with rice simmered in a rich tomato sauce, perfect for hearty meals and family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup uncooked rice
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, uncooked rice, chopped onion, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix until fully blended.
  2. Shape the mixture into meatballs about 1 inch in diameter.
  3. In a large skillet, pour in tomato sauce and water, stirring to combine.
  4. Carefully place the meatballs into the sauce, ensuring they are submerged.
  5. Cover the skillet and let it simmer over low heat for 30–40 minutes.
  6. Serve the warm Porcupine Meatballs as desired.
