Description

Ingredients

  • 6 cups sliced apples
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the apples by tossing them with sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice in a large bowl.
  3. Grease the baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
  4. Pour the apple mixture into the prepared dish.
  5. Mix the dry ingredients in another bowl, then add the wet ingredients and stir until smooth.
  6. Pour the batter evenly over the apple mixture.
  7. Bake for 40-45 minutes, until the top is golden and the apples are tender.
