Description

Warm and hearty chili bursting with flavor, perfect for cozy dinners and game nights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  1. Begin by heating a large pot over medium heat. Add the ground beef and chopped onion, allowing both to brown together. Stir occasionally until the meat is no longer pink, about 5–7 minutes.
  2. Once cooked, drain any excess fat to prevent greasiness in your final dish.
  3. Now introduce the kidney beans, tomato sauce, and chili powder to the pot, followed by the cup of water. Stir everything together until well combined.
  4. Bring this mix to a boil, then reduce the heat. Let your chili simmer gently for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
  5. When ready, ladle hot chili into bowls and garnish with your favorite toppings if desired.

Notes

Make-ahead: Refrigerate leftovers for up to three days, or freeze for about three months.
