Description

Delicious and comforting Sloppy Joes loaded with savory ground beef, comforting spices, and rich flavors, all hugged by a toasted brioche bun.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 brioche buns, toasted

Instructions

  1. Brown the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until fully browned. Use a wooden spoon to break it into crumbles. Drain off the excess fat.
  2. Sauté the Vegetables: Add the chopped onion and bell pepper to the skillet. Cook for 3-5 minutes or until the vegetables soften and become fragrant.
  3. Combine Ingredients: Stir in the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, mustard, salt, and pepper, mixing thoroughly.
  4. Simmer to Perfection: Let the mixture simmer on low heat for 10-15 minutes.
  5. Assemble and Serve: Spoon the hearty mixture onto the toasted brioche buns and enjoy immediately.

Notes

You can prepare the meat filling a day in advance for enhanced flavors. Customize with toppings like pickles or cheese for extra flair.
