Deliciously sweet and comforting Strawberry Cinnamon Rolls infused with fresh strawberries and warm cinnamon, perfect for breakfast or brunch.

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1–2 tbsp milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- Combine dry ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt until evenly distributed.
- Warm the milk and butter: In a saucepan, gently heat the milk and butter until melted, then let it cool slightly.
- Mix: Pour the milk-butter mixture into the dry ingredients, add the egg, and stir until a shaggy dough forms.
- Knead: On a floured surface, knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll the dough: Roll it out into a large rectangle on a floured surface to about 1/4-inch thickness.
- Spread butter: Melt additional butter and spread it over the dough.
- Cinnamon sugar mixture: Combine brown sugar and cinnamon, sprinkle over the buttered dough.
- Add strawberries: Evenly distribute the chopped strawberries over the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Roll it up: Tightly roll the dough away from you to create a cylinder.
- Cut into pieces: Slice the rolled dough into 1-inch pieces and arrange in a greased baking dish.
- Second rise: Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake: Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Prepare the glaze: Whisk powdered sugar and milk until smooth; drizzle over warm rolls.
Notes
Consider using frozen strawberries if fresh ones are unavailable. You can also experiment with different fillings or glazes.
