Description

Fresh and vibrant tilapia tacos, filled with flavorful fish, crunchy salsa, and creamy avocado, perfect for casual dinners or festive gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2 tilapia fillets
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Corn tortillas
  • 1 avocado, diced
  • 1 cup corn, cooked
  • 1/4 cup red onion, diced
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
  • Juice of 1 lime

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Fish: In a non-stick skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Season the tilapia fillets with chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Carefully place the fish in the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until it flakes easily with a fork.
  2. Create the Corn Salsa: In a mixing bowl, combine diced avocado, cooked corn, red onion, cilantro, and lime juice. Mix gently to combine.
  3. Warm the Tortillas: Heat corn tortillas in a separate pan over medium heat or microwave for about 20 seconds.
  4. Assemble the Tacos: Place tilapia on each tortilla and top with corn salsa.

Notes

Prepare the corn salsa a few hours in advance to let the flavors meld beautifully. You can also try cooking tilapia in an air fryer for a different method.
